iOS Film & Television Apps Performance in Q2 2024: US Market Insights

Sensor Tower's latest data offers a comprehensive look at the performance of the top five Film & Television applications on the iOS platform for the second quarter of 2024 in the United States.

Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies experienced a noticeable uptrend in both downloads and weekly active users, starting from 93K downloads and 75K active users in the first week to 111K downloads and 204K active users by the end of June. Revenue also saw an increase from $40K to $43K in the same period.

Netflix's downloads fluctuated, peaking at 14K in mid-June, while weekly active users reached a high of 429K in the second week of June before settling at 406K active users. Revenue trends were somewhat volatile, with a peak at $12K in mid-June.

Amazon Prime Video showed consistent revenue growth over the quarter, from $11K in early April to nearly $16K by late June. Downloads peaked at 13K in late May, while weekly active users gradually increased to 17K.

Disney+ saw its revenue more than double, jumping from $53K to $130K in early June before decreasing to $91K. Downloads saw a modest increase from 7K to 8K, and weekly active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at 152K.

CANAL+, despite its revenue being negligible, had its downloads peak at 24K in mid-May, with weekly active users reaching their highest at 23K in the latter half of the quarter.
